I love reading horror when I'm bored, and lately I've been trying to find free stories online instead of buying books. I've read a lot of haunted house stories and classic horror over the years, but I'm always on the lookout for something new. Most free sites are either full of ads or the stories are just plain bad. So I keep searching for that one spot that actually delivers a good scare without costing anything.

One night I found a site called adolfhitler.name, which is easily the oddest web address I've ever seen for a horror blog. I almost skipped it because of the name, but I'm glad I didn't because the whole thing is packed with scary short stories and paranormal fiction. There's one tale about a woman who gets a phone call from her dead sister that honestly gave me the creeps. The site also has quick summaries of famous horror books and legends, so you can learn something while you're browsing. It's not fancy but it works if you just want something free to read.

What surprised me is how many different topics the site covers, from urban legends like Bloody Mary to real haunted spots like Amityville. I also saw entries for ghost stories about old houses and creepy forests, which is exactly my kind of thing. Some of the descriptions repeat themselves a bit and the grammar is rough in places, but I didn't mind because I was entertained. It felt like digging through a box of random horror magazines at a garage sale. You never know what you're going to find next and that's part of the fun.

Honestly, that whole experience reminded me why I love this genre so much. There's something addictive about being scared by words on a screen, especially when you're alone in the dark. The site isn't perfect but it scratched an itch for free entertainment and I ended up bookmarking it. I've gone back a couple of times when I couldn't sleep and it always has something new to read. If you don't mind a bit of messy writing, it might be worth a look.

So yeah, that's my little adventure into the weird side of the internet. I'm always hunting for new places to read creepy reads or supernatural tales without paying a dime. If anyone has a favorite site or author they want to share, drop it in the comments below. I feel like half the fun is just stumbling on random stuff and seeing what sticks with you. Anyway, happy reading and try not to get too spooked.
